Teach and Learn with Georgia

Just before entering grad school I took six months to volunteer abroad, working with kids aged 7-18 in the English classrooms of a small school in a village called Salibauri. I stayed with a host family and often defaulted to hand motions when my elementary Georgian failed me. More can be found about that by clicking here to view my blog.

Cambodia - Study-Service Term

I traveled to Cambodia with 23 others. For six weeks we studied the culture and language. We completed individual service projects for the following six weeks. A partner and I worked with Church World Service interviewing villagers about relief services they'd received. Read the report about de-mining program results here. And check out an entry from my journal.

I met up with a team of Fuller Center volunteers during a break from teaching in Georgia. I took photos and put this video together for them for old time's sake.
